We are looking for a full time (15-20 hands on hours a week)/part time licensed massage therapist to join our team at Amethyst Massage. Located in the Bearden area at 117 Forest ct. Knoxville, TN 37919. Our family operated studio is a woman owned, anti-racist, lgbtqia+ affirming, business that welcomes bodies of all shapes, sizes, and abilities. Our small but mighty team is in need of another member to fill scheduling gaps, as the need for our services has quickly outpaced our current scheduling capacity. We are looking for someone who aligns with our core values and demonstrates a willingness to develop new skills from educated, experienced massage therapists. These skill sets include, but are not limited to, therapeutic massage techniques, ashiatsu, and pain management bodywork in a 1:1 mentor/mentee dynamic. Massage Therapists are responsible for their own tools/room sanitation, and general tidying to maintain the professional environment of the studio.

Expectations:

While we do not have uniforms we do expect our therapists and support to dress in professional/athletic wear. Branded shirts will be provided but not required.
Arriving at least 15 minutes before first session of the day to prep
Attend free hands on training monthly
Provide the highest quality client care possible, this includes writing client notes(non-negotiable) with the intention of providing comprehensive, up to date care for each client
Be respectful of gender, gender expression, body, and cultural diversity of clients and staff
Maintain professional appearance and demeanor (to clarify body modification and creative self expression are welcome and celebrated here)
Adherence and dedication to all disinfection and sanitation protocols
Must be willing to wear a mask upon request
Racism, hate speech, and/or body shaming of any kind will not be tolerated, we expect our therapist to be able to identify and address these behaviors in ways safest for themself. Recognizing and addressing these behaviors early ensures the safety of our staff and clients
Inform management of schedule changes, preferences, and expected leave time
Willing and excited to learn or improve knowledge and skills
Willing to be in photos and/or videos for promotional/advertising reasons
